I am a creative historian, with a background in museums and heritage.

My academic research sits in the field of cultural history, and draws on methods of material culture and oral history. I return to themes of fantasy, dress, dreams, miniatures, memory, and women’s work.

My interests and energies expand beyond disciplines – I am also a publisher, filmmaker, costume designer and model maker.
